Foculars started as a fix for one desk: a way to make everything except the page disappear.
The first version was thin and simple. A thicker, faceted version came after, and lost. What ships is the thin one with the mechanisms added: a face-contoured seal, full peripheral blocking, a real hinge, and nothing you do not need.
An enclosed tunnel around each eye seals to your face and blocks the periphery. Straight ahead stays open, and so does the gap between your eyes, so reading, writing and screens feel normal from the first minute.
They are for the long stretches: the library, the shared kitchen table, the night before the exam, the afternoon the writing has to get finished.
There is no app, no battery, and nothing to pair or charge. The frame folds flat on a real hinge with stainless screws. A passive tag waits under a small door in the right arm, ready for your phone.
